Question 1.
How does Subhas’ uniqueness come out in his struggle for freedom? How does he differ from other national leaders? Give two examples.
Answer:
Nethaji was unique as he was the leader who thought of fighting the brute force of the British by armed force and he could source a modem army of about 75,000 men and women. He inspired them with intense patriotic fervour and a burning desire to free from their enslaved motherland. On the other hand, Gandhiji, Nehru etc, all the Gandhian followers were very much different from Bose as they all intended to attain independence through non-violence.

- Bose raised a modern army of about 75,000 men and women.

Answer:
Bose belonged to an educated and prosperous family. As he was very spiritual in nature, his quest for truth and the right ‘Guru’ had taken him to each and every comer of the country. At last, he made up his”mind to follow Swami Vivekananda and Aurobindo Ghosh in the spiritual sphere and C.R.Das in politics.
To quote about Boss’s broad-mindedness. He had broad-minded views on freedom and other social issues and his hungry soul was not satisfied with only text-books. He also said though he has brought up from his childhood into touch with English people, English education, and English culture. He went back again to our culture both classical and modem shows his broad-mindedness.
Question 5.
Give an account of the sacrifices Subhas made.
Answer:
Bose had a rebellious and independent spirit and that was apparent from his earliest days. He reportedly beat and thrashed one of his British teachers who had made a racist remark against the Indian students and for this, he was expelled from the college and lost an academic year.
He passed the ICS exam and was serving as a high executive. He resigned from the ICS and returned to India. He gave up the principal’s post at National College at Calcutta when Gandhiji started the Non-cooperation Movement.
Question 6.
Give an account of Subhas’ adventurous life.
Answer:
Bose was quite adventurous too. He escaped house arrest in disguise and went to Peshawar. He wanted to go to Russia, on the way he crossed Afghanistan and reached Soviet Russia on an Italian passport.
He went to Germany and from there he left for Japan. The plane in which Bose was travelling caught fire while taking off Netaji was badly burnt but managed to come out of the plane.

My grandfather was one of my favourite people for me in my life, he always stayed with me like a support inspiration and always guided me in the right way. He not only inspired he pampered me and took case of me like a princess. So, it is hard to forget him.
A Tribute to Netaji Summary in English
The great freedom struggle leaders had different ways to get India’s freedom. One among them is Bose. Bose asked Indians to give him their blood and he would give them free India. Hindus, Muslim, Sikhs adored him and jaoined INA in 1000s. They fondly called him “Netaji”. He had unique place in the history of India’s freedom struggle. He was a wonderful organiser too.
He was educated in England and travelled widely all over Europe. He looked at India in an international perspective. He was very spiritual in nature. He was a follower of Swami Vivekananda and Aurobindo Ghosh.
He held muslims with special regard the difference he found in him and Muslims were they pray in mosques. As a student, he was not satisfied with textbooks alone. He had touched with Englishmen in their culture and education later on he adopted Indian Culture.
He’ went to Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Swami Vivekananda learned Yoga. He was taught to reverence the lust for power and gold.
He was interested in doing social work. He went to villages to give relief to victims of epidemics like plague, cholera and smallpox.
