Foreigners may find themselves bowing, but with amusing, unintentional blunders, either bowing too deeply or not deeply enough or to wrong persons at the wrong places.
The differences in ranks, standing, age, social position are subtely reflected. There are clear cut differences in positions and basic rules inside the family too.
