Wealth and Values Summary in English

Mr. Balaji was a rich businessman having two sons Gagan and Rahul. Rahul wanted his share in the property as he wanted to see the world with his friend. Mr. Balaji gave him his share, Rahul spent lavishly leading a luxurious and wasteful life. When he was left with no money, his friends did not want him.

On the advice of Rahul’s father’s friend, he came back home. Mr. Balaji was happy to see him and told his servant to buy good clothing, shoes, ring for Rahul. He wanted to celebrate his son’s return back home by a feast. Rahul fell on his father’s feet and apologised. Soon his brother came home he saw the people happy and enjoying. He came to know that they were celebrating Rahul’s return home.

Gagan did not like this he told his father that he had served and obeyed him but never his father had arranged a feast for him and his friends. To this, Mr. Balaji replied you were always with me and whatever I have is yours. I had forgiven your brother’s mistake as he had realised his mistake.

When he saw joy and happiness in his father’s face, Gagan told him I am seeing happiness in your face. He also told I am understanding forgiveness and its importance. He also welcomed his brother back home.
